Gifts of Hope

Kellsie’s Hope Foundation presented Kellsie’s first gifts to St. Louis Children’s Hospital Oncology Floor. The presentation was made by her parents, Dan and Gail Marchbanks, and her siblings Hannah and Parker, making “Kellsie’s Wish” come true. Two Wii’s, Two Wii Fits, Rock Band, 20 games, and additional accessories were presented along with a check for $2200.00 to purchase two portable carts with TV’s.

It was “Kellsie’s Wish” to purchase these items through funds that were raised during her treatment and hospitalizations. Kellsie was working with the Child Life Specialist to put this donation in motion, but unfortunately, she passed away in June, before she could make this happen. These first gifts were truly gifts from Kellsie’s giving heart.

The Kellsie’s Hope Foundation continues to enhance the lives of children with cancer and their families at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, Mercy, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.  “Sweet surprises,” a snack cart full of goodies distributed to children in the hospital is replenished every month so they never run out of treats.  Holiday treats and gift cards bring a little sunshine to the kids for special occasions.  Donated toys are delivered to the hospitals and always bring a smile.
